Datacards: Adeptus Custodes is an English-language reference card set created for Adeptus Custodes armies in the 8th Edition of Warhammer 40,000.

Product description
Keep important Stratagems and Tactical Objectives within easy reach during your battles with this set of 66 Adeptus Custodes reference cards.

The cards were designed to reduce the need to repeatedly search through the rulebook and Codex during play. Each card presents selected game information in a compact format, while faction artwork decorates the reverse.

This is an archived accessory for the 8th Edition of Warhammer 40,000. Its rules terminology and card contents are not designed for the current edition of the game.

Stratagem reference cards
The set contains 27 Stratagem cards originally available to Battle-forged Adeptus Custodes armies through the corresponding Codex.

It also includes cards for three universal Stratagems from the core Warhammer 40,000 rules: Command Re-roll, Counter-Offensive and Insane Bravery.

These cards allow players using the historical ruleset to place relevant Stratagems beside the battlefield and quickly review their original wording during play.

Tactical Objective cards
The box contains 36 Tactical Objective cards used with the mission system of the 8th Edition.

Thirty cards represent the standard Tactical Objectives available at the time, while six are specific to Adeptus Custodes armies and were originally published in Codex: Adeptus Custodes.

The cards can be shuffled and drawn during compatible historical missions, replacing the need to generate objectives using dice and reference tables.

Designed for historical 8th Edition play
This product was released alongside the 8th Edition Codex: Adeptus Custodes and uses rules, terminology and mission mechanics from that period.

Tactical Objectives and many of the included Stratagems have since been replaced or substantially changed in later editions of Warhammer 40,000.

The set is therefore best suited to collectors, players maintaining an 8th Edition army, or hobbyists interested in discontinued Games Workshop accessories.
