T'au Empire: Pathfinder Team contains ten lightly armoured reconnaissance specialists supported by three advanced drones and a selection of precision weapons.

Product description
Scout ahead of your main T'au Empire force with a Pathfinder Team, a specialist unit trained to locate enemy positions, identify important targets and provide valuable battlefield intelligence.

The set builds ten Pathfinders wearing lightweight reconnaissance armour and the distinctive elongated helmets associated with the T'au Fire Caste. Their lighter equipment and varied poses distinguish them from the more heavily protected warriors of a Strike Team or Breacher Team.

The models can be assembled kneeling, crouching or standing, creating the appearance of a unit observing the battlefield, advancing through cover or preparing to engage an identified target.

Reconnaissance specialists
Pathfinders operate ahead of the main T'au battle line, using advanced sensors, communications equipment and careful observation to locate threats and guide allied firepower.

Their lighter armour allows them to move efficiently through difficult terrain while maintaining the clean technological appearance of the wider T'au Empire range.

Different heads, leg poses and equipment components provide natural variety across the squad without compromising its disciplined military appearance.

Advanced T'au weaponry
The kit includes pulse carbines for the standard members of the squad, along with rail rifle and ion rifle components for specialist Pathfinders.

The long and compact weapon designs create visually distinct roles within the unit, ranging from mobile reconnaissance troops to dedicated marksmen carrying advanced T'au technology.

The available weapons and poses can be distributed across the squad according to the supplied components and the desired appearance of the finished team.

Three specialist drones
The set includes a large Recon Drone armed with a burst cannon. The drone can be displayed alongside the squad or mounted on a compatible Devilfish transport, which is not included in this set.

A Pulse Accelerator Drone is also included, identified by the four-pronged device mounted beneath its circular body.

The third model is a Grav-inhibitor Drone, distinguished by the spherical device suspended beneath its main disc.

Together, the three drones reinforce the advanced reconnaissance and battlefield support theme of the Pathfinder Team.

Extensive posing possibilities
The Pathfinders can be assembled in a variety of kneeling, crouching and standing poses. Different helmeted and unhelmeted head options add further visual variety.

The models can be arranged as a coordinated firing line, a dispersed scouting formation or a unit advancing carefully through battlefield terrain.

The combination of infantry and hovering drones creates a varied but visually coherent group suitable for both gaming and display.

Detailed T'au design
The miniatures feature segmented reconnaissance armour, cloth undersuits, communications equipment, ammunition packs and advanced pulse weapons.

The broad armour panels are ideal for clean Sept colour schemes, edge highlights and unit markings, while lenses, sensors and drone components provide opportunities for energy effects.

The varied infantry poses and three differently shaped drones also make the set an interesting painting project with several distinct focal points.

Background
Pathfinder Teams act as the eyes and ears of T'au Empire commanders, moving ahead of the main force to observe enemy activity and identify priority targets.

They are trained to operate in exposed positions where speed, concealment and accurate battlefield information are more important than heavy armour.

Their advanced equipment allows them to communicate targeting data to other elements of the T'au force, helping battlesuits, infantry and vehicles concentrate their attacks where they will be most effective.

Supported by specialised drones, Pathfinders embody the T'au preference for reconnaissance, coordinated action and technologically assisted warfare.
