T'au Empire: XV8 Crisis Battlesuit Team contains three highly customisable battlesuits supported by advanced drones and a large selection of weapons and electronic systems.

Product description
Deploy one of the most iconic units of the T'au Empire with an XV8 Crisis Battlesuit Team. Combining advanced armour, powerful jet-assisted movement and an extensive selection of sophisticated weapons, Crisis Battlesuits embody the technological superiority of the Fire Caste.

The kit builds three XV8 Crisis Battlesuits with articulated ball fittings that provide extensive control over the position of their arms, legs and bodies. The models can be posed advancing, landing, firing their weapons or preparing to leap back into the air.

Six accompanying drones can also be assembled using the supplied components. These may represent gun, shield or marker variants, adding automated support systems to the battlesuit team.

Advanced T'au weapon systems
The kit includes an extensive armoury of T'au weapons and support equipment, allowing each battlesuit to be given an individual appearance.

The available components include plasma rifles, flamers, fusion blasters, burst cannons, missile pods and shield generators. An assortment of electronic battlesuit systems is also supplied for adding further technological detail to the models.

The weapons can be distributed across the three battlesuits according to the available components. The box does not contain enough copies to equip every model with every possible weapon combination simultaneously.

Shas'vre team leader
One Crisis Battlesuit can be assembled as a Shas'vre team leader using a distinctive head and chest plate.

These components make the veteran commander clearly recognisable while maintaining the shared armour design of the complete unit.

The Shas'vre can be positioned at the centre of the formation or given a more commanding pose to distinguish the model from the other battlesuits.

XV8-02 Crisis Iridium Battlesuit
One model can alternatively incorporate the heavier armour components of an experimental XV8-02 Crisis Iridium Battlesuit.

The reinforced chest, thicker armour and more aggressive appearance create a distinctive variant within the team. These components can be combined with the other posing and weapon choices included in the kit.

Six accompanying drones
The set contains components for building six drones, with parts representing gun, shield and marker variants.

Up to three drones of the same type can be assembled from the included components. Their smooth circular armour, sensors and equipment visually connect the unit with the wider drone technology used throughout the T'au Empire.

The drone configuration should be selected before assembly, as the different variants use shared components.

Extensive posing possibilities
Ball fittings provide a high degree of freedom when positioning the battlesuits. Their legs, torsos, arms and weapon mounts can be arranged to create a coordinated team or three clearly individual warriors.

The models can be shown advancing together, landing after a jet-assisted deployment or engaging targets from different directions.

The broad armour panels also provide excellent surfaces for Sept colours, transfers, squad markings, edge highlights and controlled weathering.

Detailed battlesuit design
XV8 Crisis Battlesuits combine angular armour plating, articulated limbs, jet thrusters, sensor heads and modular weapon mounts.

The large mechanical forms are complemented by smaller details such as lenses, exhausts, reactor components and electronic support systems.

This variety makes the kit a rewarding painting project for clean armour schemes, energy effects, glowing sensors, metallic details and battlefield wear.

Background
XV8 Crisis Battlesuits are piloted by experienced warriors of the T'au Fire Caste who have demonstrated the discipline and skill required to progress along the path of the warrior.

Their advanced armour provides mobility, protection and access to a wide selection of weapons. Jet-assisted movement allows Crisis Teams to deploy rapidly, attack priority targets and reposition before the enemy can respond effectively.
