Tyranids: Biovore is a versatile miniature kit that builds a living artillery organism accompanied by three floating Spore Mines, or an alternative fire-spewing Pyrovore.

Product description
Add a specialised biological weapons platform to your Tyranids collection. The Biovore is a lumbering artillery beast whose broad body supports a symbiotic dorsal launcher grown directly into its anatomy.

A swollen spore-sac beneath the weapon contains living biological explosives waiting to be launched towards enemy positions. The model combines a low, heavily supported body with long limbs, layered chitin and a distinctive organic cannon.

The set also builds three individual Spore Mines, representing floating organisms that drift towards nearby prey before releasing their destructive biological payloads.

Alternative Pyrovore build
The Biovore can alternatively be assembled as a Pyrovore, a specialised Tyranid organism equipped with a large flame-spewing symbiotic weapon.

The Pyrovore configuration replaces the artillery design with a more aggressive biological weapon system and gives the completed creature a noticeably different silhouette.

The Biovore and Pyrovore are alternative builds of the same main model and cannot both be assembled from one box without additional components.

Customisation options
The kit includes several alternative leg positions and scenic basing elements for the Biovore or Pyrovore.

These components allow you to adjust the stance of the creature and vary its presentation on the included 80mm base.

The three Spore Mines each feature a different design, helping the accompanying organisms look varied rather than identical.

Detailed organic design
The miniature features layered carapace plates, powerful supporting limbs, exposed biological tissue, weapon symbiotes and swollen organic sacs.

These varied surfaces provide excellent opportunities for contrasting skin and chitin colours, toxic fluids, internal glow effects and custom Hive Fleet markings.

The floating Spore Mines add further painting possibilities through their tendrils, gas-filled bodies and unusual biological forms.

Background
Biovores are living artillery organisms created by the Hive Mind to bombard enemy positions with Spore Mines.

Their symbiotic weapons nurture biological explosives within swollen sacs before launching them across the battlefield. Once released, the Spore Mines drift towards nearby prey under their own power.

Pyrovores are adapted for a different form of destruction. Their bodies support living weapons that project burning biological matter towards enemy formations at closer distances.

Both creatures demonstrate the ability of the Hive Mind to transform a similar biological foundation into highly specialised weapons of war.
