Crusade Ancients are veteran warriors of exceptional resolve who are entrusted with the most sacred standards of the Black Templars. The tapestries and icons they carry preserve the memory of hard-won victories, fallen heroes and solemn vows fulfilled across countless battlefields.

This multipart plastic kit builds one Crusade Ancient for a Black Templars army in Warhammer 40,000. The model combines the imposing presence of an experienced Space Marine with a tall battle standard that makes him an immediate focal point within a crusading force.

The Ancient is depicted advancing beneath flowing banners, gripping a master-crafted power sword and carrying the heraldry of his crusade into the heart of the fighting. His armour is covered with devotional details that reflect the knightly and religious character of the Black Templars.

Sacred battle standard
The Crusade Ancient carries a towering standard decorated with long, flowing tapestries. These banners commemorate the victories of the crusade and proclaim the glory of the God-Emperor to allies and enemies alike.

Only one of these decorative elements can be fitted to the completed standard. The Armageddon trophy and blank shield use the same mounting position and cannot both be assembled on one model at the same time.

The blank shield is particularly useful for collectors creating a personalised crusade. It can display a crusade badge, battlefield honour, heraldic cross or symbol linked to the history of your own army.

Master-crafted power sword
The Crusade Ancient carries a master-crafted power sword, reflecting his status as an experienced warrior rather than a ceremonial figure who remains behind the battle line.

The long blade complements the knightly appearance of the Black Templars and gives the model a strong visual connection to Sword Brethren, Marshals and other veteran champions of the Chapter.
