Product description
Execrators are living embodiments of the sacred oaths sworn by their Black Templars battle-brothers. These ferocious warrior-priests preach that war is the most worthy chapel and that every enemy destroyed is another offering made in the God-Emperor's name.

This multipart plastic kit builds one Execrator for a Black Templars army. Clad in imposing power armour and covered with devotional details, the miniature combines the authority of a Space Marine Chaplain with the relentless aggression expected from the Emperor's Crusaders.

The Execrator is depicted advancing with his crozius arcanum raised to deliver another crushing blow. His dynamic pose, flowing robes and ritual equipment make him a natural focal point among Sword Brethren, Crusader Squads and other Black Templars warriors.

Crozius arcanum options
The Execrator wields a crozius arcanum, the sacred weapon and symbol of office carried by Space Marine Chaplains. The kit includes a choice of two different mace-heads, allowing you to alter the appearance of this imposing weapon.

One design can be used to emphasise the brutal, skull-crushing purpose of the weapon, while the other provides an alternative ceremonial appearance. Both options retain the religious and knightly visual character of the Black Templars.

Only one mace-head can be fitted to the completed crozius arcanum. The two versions cannot be assembled simultaneously from a single kit.

Alternative equipment
The Execrator's other hand can be equipped with an absolver bolt pistol, pyre pistol, master-crafted power weapon or holy relic.

The absolver bolt pistol gives the model the appearance of a traditional Chaplain prepared to deliver judgement at close range. The pyre pistol reinforces the Black Templars preference for purging enemies with sacred flame.

The master-crafted power weapon creates a heavily armed melee build, presenting the Execrator as a warrior capable of fighting with a blade alongside his crozius. The holy relic option gives the miniature a more ceremonial appearance and places greater emphasis on his role as the keeper and enforcer of the Chapter's sacred vows.

These options use the same arm and mounting position. Only one can be selected for the completed miniature, so the pistol, power weapon and relic variants cannot all be built at the same time.

Head and backpack options
The kit includes two alternative heads. The skull-faced helmet creates the grim and unmistakable appearance associated with Space Marine Chaplains, while the uncovered head presents the Execrator as an individual veteran roaring his sermons directly at the enemy.

Two optional icons are also included for the backpack. These provide another way to personalise the miniature and alter its silhouette without changing the central character of the model.

One head and one backpack icon may be selected during assembly. The remaining alternatives can be retained for conversion work or other compatible hobby projects.

Details and painting opportunities
The Execrator combines Black Templars heraldry with the macabre symbols traditionally associated with the Chaplains of the Adeptus Astartes. Armour plates, bones, purity seals, devotional script and religious ornaments provide numerous areas for careful painting.

The black armour can be highlighted with neutral grey, blue-grey or restrained metallic tones. White or cream robes and heraldic panels provide strong contrast, while red seals and weapon details introduce the traditional accent colour of the Black Templars.

The skull-faced helmet and bone decorations can be painted in warm ivory or aged bone tones. The crozius arcanum offers opportunities for dark steel, polished silver, gold decoration and subtle energy effects.

The pyre pistol can feature heat-stained metal and scorched barrels, while the master-crafted power weapon may be finished with a bright energy glow or a more restrained relic blade appearance.

The included 40mm round base provides room for ruined cathedral flooring, scorched earth, shattered masonry or the remains of enemies who failed to withstand the Execrator's fury.

Background
The Black Templars are among the most zealous Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes. Descended from the Imperial Fists and founded by Sigismund, they travel across the galaxy aboard immense crusade fleets and wage an endless war against heretics, aliens and traitors.

Even among these uncompromising warriors, Execrators are recognised for their exceptional fury. They are warrior-priests who find their true calling at the front of an assault, where every strike of their crozius is accompanied by a shouted sermon or condemnation of the foe.

Their sacred responsibility is to ensure that the warriors around them remain true to the vows sworn before battle. They lead through personal example, charging into the fiercest fighting and demonstrating the violence, courage and devotion expected from every Black Templar.

An Execrator is therefore more than a spiritual advisor. He is a living reminder that the promises made before the God-Emperor must be fulfilled through action, sacrifice and the destruction of His enemies.
