Packed with sculpted shoulder pads, characterful heads, weapons, sacred relics and vehicle decorations, this set provides a wealth of options for personalising Black Templars infantry, leaders and war machines.

Product description
Black Templars armies are defined by more than black armour and white shoulder panels. Their warriors carry chains, relics, devotional symbols and crusade honours that reflect a Chapter devoted to endless war in the Emperor's name.

This plastic upgrade set allows you to bring that distinctive identity to compatible Citadel Space Marines. It includes components suitable for Primaris Initiates, Neophytes, commanders, warriors in heavier armour and selected vehicles, along with a large transfer sheet for adding heraldry and campaign markings.

The numerous parts can be used to personalise Crusader Squads, distinguish unit leaders, create Relic Bearers or add Black Templars details to models from the wider Space Marines range. The set does not contain complete miniatures, so compatible model kits are required and sold separately.

Sculpted shoulder pads
The upgrade sprue contains a broad selection of sculpted shoulder pads bearing Black Templars crosses, devotional details and veteran markings.

It includes 12 shoulder pads designed for Mk X Tacticus Armour, including two more elaborate examples suitable for Sword Brethren or unit leaders. Six larger shoulder pads are included for Mk X Gravis Armour, allowing heavier Primaris warriors to share the same crusading appearance.

A single studded Mk VI power armour shoulder pad provides a classic design inspired by older patterns of Space Marine armour. Its sculpted banner and Chapter decoration make it especially useful for creating an individual veteran or characterful conversion.

The different sizes are intended for specific armour types and cannot be freely exchanged between every model without additional conversion work. Check the selected miniature and its shoulder construction before assembly.

Heads for Initiates, Neophytes and a Marshal
The set contains four Initiate heads, four Neophyte heads and one distinctive Marshal head with a circlet or coronet.

These parts allow you to introduce more individual expressions and Black Templars character into existing squads. The uncovered Neophyte heads are particularly useful for creating varied aspirants within a Primaris Crusader Squad, while the Marshal head can help distinguish a commander or veteran officer.

Head compatibility may vary between kits, poses and armour designs. Some modelling adjustment may be required when using the parts outside the sets for which they were primarily designed.

Neophyte weapons and equipment
Four Neophyte arms equipped with combat shotguns are included, offering an alternative visual style for aspirants fighting alongside their Initiate mentors.

Three additional arm options show a Neophyte carrying a bolt carbine, holding a grenade or carrying an Initiate's helmet. These pieces provide valuable narrative details and can make individual models appear to be moving through a battle rather than standing in uniform poses.

The weapon and arm parts are alternative construction options. They use the same models and mounting points as other components, so every available version cannot be assembled simultaneously from one set.

Physical parts included on the sprue should not be treated as confirmation of current tabletop equipment rules. Check the latest Games Workshop publications before assembling a rules-specific unit configuration.

Vehicle upgrades
The sprue includes a multi-melta intended for use with a compatible Black Templars vehicle, allowing a selected war machine to carry a weapon closely associated with the Chapter's aggressive crusading style.

Five Black Templars icons and a relic sword or chassis decoration are also included. These pieces can be used to add faction identity to otherwise standard Space Marine vehicles and visually connect them with the infantry marching beside them.

Compatibility depends on the selected vehicle and mounting area. The components may require careful positioning or minor conversion work when used with models other than those shown in official examples.

Six sculpted Black Templars relics
The set includes physical components representing six famous relics associated with the Black Templars:

• The Aurillian Shroud - a macabre sacred banner containing the blessed remains of Saint Agatine.
• Skull of the Cacodominus - a grim relic linked to an ancient psychic enemy of the Imperium.
• Sword of Judgement - an ornate weapon suitable for a Black Templars hero or Relic Bearer.
• Witchseeker Bolts - specialised ammunition represented as part of a characterful modelling option.
• Ancient Breviary - a sacred volume reflecting the prayers and traditions of the Chapter.
• The Crusader's Helm - an ancient helmet with a distinctive mono-visor and archaic appearance.

These pieces provide excellent opportunities for narrative modelling and can be attached to suitable characters, leaders or Relic Bearers. Their inclusion as physical parts does not mean that all six can currently be selected as active relic rules in every army or game format.

Accessories and devotional decorations
The upgrade sprue contains numerous smaller details that can be distributed across an army to create a consistent Black Templars appearance.

These include an arm with a choice of two reliquary-bearing hands, an Astartes chainsword in a scabbard and a Black Templars backpack with a recessed upper edge for attaching selected relics or decorations.

Purity seals, larger honorific ribbons, a sanctified grenade, lanterns, relic bones and stacks of burning candles allow you to add religious imagery and signs of individual battlefield honour to infantry and characters.

These smaller pieces are particularly useful for conversion projects. A standard Space Marine can be transformed into a veteran, Relic Bearer, crusade officer or warrior carrying a physical reminder of an earlier campaign.

Black Templars transfer sheet
The set includes a large waterslide transfer sheet containing 240 transfers.

The sheet features Black Templars crosses, unit markings, crusade badges, heraldic symbols and small areas of script. These transfers can be combined to give squads, characters and vehicles their own identity while maintaining a coherent Chapter appearance.

Crusade badges are especially useful for linking different units to the same campaign. Individual shields, tilting plates and vehicle panels can also receive separate heraldic markings, helping each warrior or war machine appear to possess its own history.

Transfers should be applied to a smooth painted surface. Suitable decal solutions and a protective varnish can help the finished markings conform to curved armour and remain protected during regular handling.

Painting and conversion opportunities
Black Templars Upgrades and Transfers is designed for hobbyists who want to go beyond a standard assembly and create a more individual crusading force.

The sculpted crosses and shoulder decorations can be painted in traditional black, white and red, while relics provide opportunities for aged bone, parchment, tarnished brass and weathered metallic finishes.

Candles, lanterns, chains, reliquaries and purity seals introduce varied materials and textures across an army. Vehicle icons and the multi-melta help carry the same visual identity onto larger models.

The parts can also support conversions for veteran squads, commanders and narrative characters. Planning each model before cutting components from the sprue is recommended, especially when several possible builds require the same accessory or mounting location.
