The Blade Champion is a specialist warrior of the Adeptus Custodes, dedicated to mastering the many disciplines of close combat. This multipart plastic kit builds one Blade Champion for an Adeptus Custodes army in Warhammer 40,000. The miniature provides a distinctive character model that can serve as a striking centrepiece among units of Custodian Guard, Custodian Wardens and other warriors of the Emperor's golden host.

A master of the vaultswords
Blade Champions wield archeotech weapons known as vaultswords. These ancient blades are entrusted only to warriors who have demonstrated extraordinary skill and complete mastery of the Custodes' deadly fighting traditions.

The miniature captures the Blade Champion at the height of a carefully controlled attack, with flowing robes and a poised stance that contrast with the heavy construction of his ornate armour. His weapon, armour and posture immediately identify him as a warrior created to seek out and defeat the most dangerous opponents.

The vaultswords are represented as part of the model's fixed equipment. The kit does not provide alternative weapon loadouts, and the different construction choices focus primarily on the appearance of the warrior's head.

Three head options
The kit includes three alternative head options, allowing you to personalise the appearance of your Blade Champion.

• Stoic bare head - presents the Champion as calm, disciplined and entirely focused on his opponent.
• Bare head with gritted teeth - creates a more aggressive expression suited to the intensity of close combat.
• Plumed helmet - gives the miniature a fully armoured and ceremonial Adeptus Custodes appearance.

Only one head can be used when assembling the miniature, so the three variants cannot be built simultaneously from a single kit.

Ornate details and painting opportunities
